  2. That was pretty close... it's known as the Blue Ghost Tunnel around here. :-)

This picture is actually made up of two photos. One is from more than a century ago and one that I took during the winter a few years ago. I blended them to give it an unique look for an "Out of the Blue" entry. The original from the 19th century lacked the trees surrounding the tunnel nowadays. Not only that, the train track was buried by dirt and is no longer in use.

This tunnel was relatively unknown to the public till some people started hyping it up as a haunted tunnel a few years ago. I discovered this tunnel before it became a hotspot for teen parties. Teenagers has ruined this historic tunnel and now it's all sealed up. :-(

  3. Cool, have you been inside that tunnel? If so, were you frightened?

  4. Yes, I've been inside the tunnel several times over the years. It is a spooky place to be in especially during the winter. Halfway through the tunnel, there is a thick wall of ice. Probably around 1 to 3 foot thick at the most depending on the amount of streaming water through the ceiling of the tunnel in the winter.

It's quite something to look at. :-)
